WOMAD Particulate Monitoring
Project precis
Dust monitoring during the Womadelaide Festivals in 2009 and 2010. Particulate matter was measured as PM10 (particulate matter less than 10μm) and assessed against National Environment Protection Measure (NEPM) ambient air criteria for PM10.
Project role
Environmental Consultant
Monitoring of particulates/dust:
- Establishment of two monitors to measure PM10 suspended particles
- Operation of monitors (real time readings and logging of 10 minute averages for documentation)
- Daily calibration of monitors and inspections
- Comparison of results against NEPM ambient air criterion
- Reporting
